Editorial Policy

How we research, write, fact-check, and maintain every page on Manu Business Lending. Last reviewed July 10, 2026.

Content Mission

Manu Business Lending produces practical, accurate, and jargon-free financing content for U.S. small business owners. Every page is designed to help business owners understand their financing options and make confident funding decisions. We cover business loans, lines of credit, equipment financing, SBA loans, and industry-specific and location-specific lending guidance.

Research Process

Every page begins with primary-source research. Our editorial team reviews:

  • SBA program guidelines for loan eligibility, rate caps, and term limits
  • Federal Reserve Small Business Credit Survey for national lending data and trends
  • Lender disclosures from NBC's 75+ lender network for typical rate ranges and qualification criteria
  • Industry association data from organizations like the NRCA, PHCC, IEC, AGC, and others for sector-specific context
  • U.S. Census and SBA local data for state and metro-level small business statistics

Fact-Checking

Every data point on every page is checked against its primary source before publication. Rate ranges, term lengths, eligibility criteria, and small business statistics are verified against the original source, not secondary reporting. When a source updates its data (e.g., the SBA revises loan limits), we update the affected pages.

Review and Update Schedule

All content is reviewed on a rolling basis by Malik Samara, Managing Partner. Pages are reviewed at minimum every 90 days, and updated immediately when:

  • SBA program terms, rates, or eligibility criteria change
  • Federal Reserve survey data is updated
  • Lender network products or terms change
  • New financing products become available

Each page displays a "Last reviewed" date and the reviewing editor's name.
